God Supplies All Your Needs?

I finally decided to seek the kingdom of God first, because I plan to let Him show off what he can do.  If I remember the scripture correctly, it says:  "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added unto you."

So, studying further computer programming, adding extra education certifications, starting an online business -- all these important things are not as important as seeking God and his kingdom.

In obedience to this verse, I decided to open this book Marilyn Hickey sent me.  I scanned the chapter headings, and decided to skeptically read the last chapter first.

The last chapter was talking about how people who financially partner with other ministers to help spread the gospel will have all their needs supplied by God.

Paul was talking to the Phillipians, thanking them for helping him spread the gospel by supporting him financially.  The Phillipians were the only church that had responded when he had asked for help, even though he had asked several churches through his letters.

It was only then that Paul told them, "But my God will supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

The point is that because they gave to help spread the gospel, and they sent Paul gifts more than once, in a form of partnership -- because they partnered with Paul to spread the good news of Jesus Christ, God would supply all their needs.
