So today I realized that I sharedmy birthday with Bob Dylan and Priscilla Presley. 

Calories in a Bag of Cheetos

So today I figured out how to accurately log the calories in a bag of Cheetos.

The total number of calories in the bag is 1440.

So I eat one-third of the bag and log the calories consumed at 500.

Do the same thing the next time I eat from the Cheeto bag.

When I finish off the bag on the third day I consume them,I log the calories at 440. 

Weight was 225 on April 19,2024, at Doctor's Office

When I went for my three month checkup to the cancer doctor's office, my weight was 225.2.

 

Weds. Eats

Today is Wednesday, March 20., 2024.

I have not weighed myself since my  last visit to the NP.

I will weigh tomorrow.

Time is 2:30 p.m.

So far i have had an Equate shake and a cold sausage biscuit that I made 2 days ago.  

Calorie count thus far is around 460.

Husband Is Taking Mounjaro

My husband, who has diabetes, has started injecting himself once a week with Mounjaro.  His first injection was on Sunday, March 3,2024.

He weighed 279 pounds at the doctor's office on Friday, March 1.

Since his injection he has been monitoring his blood pressure, blood sugar, and bowel habits. 

His blood pressure and blood sugar have been good. He takes other medications for these conditions as well, including Metformen,.

He takes Gabapentin, Metformin, Valsartan, Simvastatin, Hydrochlorathiazide, Propanolol, Amlodipine Besylate, Pantoprazole, NP Thyroid, Glimeperide, Allopurinol.

He also takes saw palmeto, an over the counter medication. 

He feels nauseous and very tired, but he has regular elimination.

Filling Out German Workbooks

When I first started college in January of 1973, I declared that German was my major.

Over 51years later, I still suck at German. 

I went through the first two years of German language studies in seven months.

Then I kept "chickening out" during third-year German courses. I would enroll in a third-year college German course and then drop the course.

I had a paralyzing fear of failure that led me to repeatedly drop courses I was in danger of failing.

So now that I have already lived longer than the life expectancy for a woman born in 1948 had at my birth, which was 73.1 years, I am working on "bucket list" tasks I hope to complete before I die.

Becoming proficient in the German language is on that bucket list.

I ordered used German workbooks to fill out.

Another Year

 So....

My weight at both doctors' offices was around 223.

My A1C was 5.2.
